You don’t know me nor what I’ve been through

You can say the same I know nothing of you

I’ve had hopes I’ve had dreams

I’ve heard lies I’ve heard screams

I’ve fallen in love before

I’ve had my life be no more

I’ve been lifted out of the dirt again ‘n again

Then shoved back into it only to let my hurt extend

I’ve been able to fly

I’ve been able to die

I’ve had insanity inside my soul

I’ve felt warmth only to be thrown back into the cold

I’ve seen the beauty of a flower

Just to see it rot after every passing hour

I’ve seen the mirror stare back in pure hope

I can’t find it now… I may have lost it or it broke

I’ve heard of pain and aggression

Only for it to be immediately covered by a different expression

The moon has so many faces why not I

After all… my moon is in Gemini 😈

Besides…humanity has always copied nature

We’ve even learned to fly

But just for a second to see what it’s like

To escape the sorrow we left back in our life

But we always return

For the pain that we yearn

For not even happiness is complete

Without the pain we so dedicatingly seek
